Reviews
Ww have passed this place several times on our way to Walt Whitman mall. I believe this is on the former TGI spot. Finally stopped in and was not disappointed. Very nice bar with terrific cocktails. The menu has weekly specials and the rest something for everyone. Salads, pastas, pizzas, meat and seafood dishes Oh My! My fave was the Famous French Dip. This consisted of thinly sliced roast beef on a baguette with au jus, absolutely mouthwatering!!! Our server Juan was absolutely tremendous. He was friendly, efficient and engaged beautifully with my 3 year old Granddaughter. We went back a second time and enjoyed again the terrific food, drink and Juan to take care of us. He remembered us from our last time there and took great care of us. Go there and you will love it!
Never a complaint here Steak here is always my go too Cocktails are amazing , happy hour is fun Ambiance is very clean, chic. It's always a perfect date night spot or family dinner place. Service is always immaculate, so tentative. There's a lot for parking on the side.
Wait staff and bus boys were nice and very professional. This restaurant is LOUD. We were seated a little after 6 on a Friday night, so it's no surprise they were busy. But the room was so loud we couldn't eaves drop on the couple seated next to us. Based on the few words we could catch, body language, their handshake when they first met, and the woman's engagement ring we think they were having an affair. That would have been a juicy conversation to listen in on, but you couldn't hear a thing! In fact, I could barely hear the people I was seated with talk to me. You have to talk really loud to converse with people, which just adds to the noise. Even the wait staff seemed to have difficulty hearing each other at times. Something about the room design allows for sound to travel all throughout the restaurant. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Food was pretty good. They gave us lots of bread! That's always nice. But I wish that either the bread was warm or the butter was softened. Room temperature bread and cold, hard butter are not a great combo. I got the grilled chicken club. This is a TALL sandwich. Because the bread is butter toasted, it's not strong enough to easily hold everything in. I think it would be a more structurally sound (and still delicious) sandwich without the middle piece of bread. The thinner pieces of chicken were a tad dry, but overall made for a very good sandwich. The fries were great! Couldn't stop eating them. Definitely my favorite part of the meal. The pickle was bad, but if you don't like pickles then I guess there's nothing for you to worry about. Honestly, I'd give this place a 3.5 if I could. Food was pretty good. I can see an argument for some menu items being a bit overpriced. But the food holds up. Staff are great. It's just too damn loud!
I think The Bryant deserves a higher rating. We had a wonderful experience with our server Valentina. She was so friendly and passionate about her service at The Bryant. We got the steak sandwich, the truffle Mac and cheese and the beet salad. The steak sandwich was served on toasty bread but soft in the inside. The amount of steak and onions on it was just right. Cooked to medium just like we requested. The Mac and cheese was so creamy, had a nice nutty truffle flavor with a sprinkle of pepper. The salad was not overdressed. I liked the fact that it had both golden and red beets. The only caveat was I wish it had a bit more of the boucheron cheese. For cocktails we got the fall sangria and the white peach sangria. The fruit in it was fresh and crisp. I hate when sangria has gross fermented fruit. The fall had a classic cinnamon rim. The outside patio was perfect on a sunny fall day. The sun did get really hot at some points because we weren't covered by the awning but we really had a 10/10 experience.
Each time I went here I always have a good experience. The staff is friendly. The food is good. In the summer time they open up the glass doors and it's an open concept. You cal also choose to dine outside. They have a variety of dishes (starters oysters, salads, steak, pizza, sandwiches...). The bar is also nice and has the space.
